Social Work & Teaching Partnership Celebration Event – Dec 2020
At the end of 2020, we hosted an event to celebrate Social Work and the Teaching Partnership, including a Social Work Awards ceremony. Following the fantastic turnout we firstly wanted to say a huge thank you to all contributors:
- Members of Kingston University’s People with Lived Experience (PLE) Group for their presentation of a fascinating poster outlining all the important work the group does with the University and the Teaching Partnership. You can see the poster and other resources, including films from the PLE Film Project, here;
- Members of the Teaching Partnership Strategic Board who opened the event and presented awards under each of the categories;
- Practitioners from across the Partnership who contributed video clips with inspiring messages for our video montage;
- Members of Wandsworth’s Children Living in Care Kouncil (CLICK) Group for letting us share a fantastic rap they created to thank social workers (originally produced for the Thank You Social Workers event in November).
Secondly well done again, to everyone who was nominated and to the much deserved winners who won some fantastic prizes! The awards were to recognise and celebrate the achievements of social workers within the Partnership and promote the work of those in the social work profession.
After what has been a tremendously difficult year, everyone should be extremely proud of themselves and the work they have achieved in spite of the circumstances and we look forward to doing more great work as a Partnership in the coming year.
